How can I measure my progress in the language?

If you want an objective metric of your progress, the number one thing that you can measure is the amount of hours of comprehensible input that you have received. Our timeline will give you an estimate for how long it will take you to reach each level. If you have started reading, you can also start keeping track of the amount of words that you have read using a notebook or a spreadsheet. To get a more visceral feeling of your progress, you can go back and rewatch content that you watched a long time ago but that you didn’t completely understand. Realizing how much more you can understand now is an awesome feeling. Finally, to evaluate long-term progress, you can look at the “You can do” section for each of the levels on our progress page and see yourself advancing through them over time.
