Are language learning apps a good use of my time?

In general language learning apps tend to focus on conscious study or practice and are not our cup of tea. We don’t recommend any apps like Duolingo or anything else that's based on exercises, quizzes, flashcards, or any other kind of "practicing". To the extent that you can find apps that provide authentic content that you can understand, we would wholeheartedly recommend those. Your favorite podcasting app could be your best friend here. Netflix and YouTube are also excellent if you are already able to find native content that you can understand. Hopefully in the future we will have enough resources to build our own app and provide our content through it. In the meantime, our platform still largely works on mobile through the browser. If you add the website to your mobile phone's home screen, it will even function pretty much like an app.
