No. When receiving input, we need to be trying to understand words and sentences in context. Seeing words and sentences being used in a particular situation with the intention of communicating a specific meaning is what we need to be able to acquire them. Any activity that tries to artificially isolate words or sentences, get you to consciously think about the language, or use words in a way that’s not actually trying to communicate meaning, is not input.
